well...everyone has to start web designing somewhere.
losing the 'geocities' ads from the web site would be a major web design improvement.

i would suggest finding web sites you like and copying the web design code to your computer. open it up in front page or dreamweaver. study the design. study the programming code. study the layout details. then start making little design changes to it. soon you will be understanding more and more web development skills.

Geocities is about the only thing I can have right now. I also don't have any posh web design programs, stuck with note pad. Me parents (Evil sods) won't let me have Dreamweaver or front page. Though I am going on a web design btec nation diploma course soon so I'll need Dreamweaver then. But still, I learn off Notepad, and other sites.

I really liked what you have done, I have created a internet radio station and also a fan website for my favorite radio morning show http://www.hawkandtomshow.biz.ly I used Trellian software to create the websites and it is free to use go to http://www.trellian.com I think that is the right address, you don't need to know HTML but as you learn it you can add it, you can also add Java-script on http://www.newvoiceradio.biz.ly you can see javascript in action the website asks for your name before you enter I could show you how to have your website ask for your name. I also host my sites on http://www.biz.ly they are a free hosting company and if you want no banner ads it is only $24.00 a year.

I hope to hear from you, talk to you later.

Sincerely Yours,

Gavin McCallister

Not bad for a first attempt. However, I would agree with R|Z, try finding some sites which you think look professional and see how they are done. It is the best way to learn. Notepad (or even better, UltraEdit) are great tools for web development because it forces you to learn the code. A great tutorial site I used when first starting was http://www.echoecho.com, they have lots of online tools and scripts you can use.
