I've just encountered a problem I haven't seen before and I'm wondering where to go with it.

I created a menu dropdown using the Dreamweaver "Behavior" interface. The dropdown links are white text on a blue background. It looks fine on every pc I've viewed it on. But one person told me that on his screen (1) the text overflows the box that's supposed to contain it and goes on to the page. It's readable but looks weird and (2) it also appears as black text on a white background.

I don't have access to that guy's pc, so I don't know if he has any odd settings, but I'd like to ask him. Can you think of what might cause that, i.e. what I should have him check? He's running WinXP.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for jumping in. I just stumbled across the answer myself about an hour ago. The guy was using IE and had somehow inadvertently turned on the accessibility options (or someone turned them on for him). One of them instructs the browser to ignore the font sizes specified on a web page, and another ignores color.

When I enabled the accessibility options on my PC, I got the same result he did. When he turned them off, the problem went away. A simple answer to a problem that I spent most of the afternoon on.

Thanks.
