Dear Experts,
I need quick help with:
1. text wrap on the right of a picture then flow back to the regular left and right margin of the page.
2. Text wrap on the left side (picture on the right).
Please see picture attached. Any quick help would be very much appreciated.

Greetings,
Pretty simple mate. Here's #1:
<img src="lala.jpg" style="float:left">Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Nulla ac est vel neque luctus pulvinar. Vestibulum blandit mauris molestie dolor. Praesent turpis. Proin diam wisi, fringilla ut, pharetra a, vulputate id, nisl. Maecenas vestibulum. Donec fermentum interdum ligula. Donec dapibus eleifend odio. Praesent sagittis. Suspendisse potenti. Vivamus sodales ullamcorper augue. Vivamus ultricies vestibulum quam.
And #2:
<img src="lala.jpg" style="float:right">In eu erat. Aenean libero magna, dictum at, venenatis nec, lacinia nec, eros. Cras id nunc. Mauris gravida erat. Pellentesque vestibulum risus. Aliquam erat volutpat.
With a little tweaking, you can place margins of a couple pixels so that the images won't touch the words:
For #1:
<img src="lala.jpg" style="float:left; margin-right:10px; margin-bottom: 10px">
For #2"
<img src="lala.jpg" style="float:right; margin-left:10px; margin-bottom: 10px">
Good luck.
EDIT: Very sorry, the first #2 was a typo. It should read "float:right", not "float:left".Last edited on Wed Feb 11th, 2004 04:14 am by Woodman

Hello Goodman,
Cant believe I get back on board this early ..
I put in the code below and there isn't yet any effect - what did I do wrong?
/la-la.gif" width="173" height="58" align="left" style="float:left; margin-right:10px; margin-bottom: 10px"
Big thanks,
Nee

Hello Woodman,
Now I can right align the image but I still cannot place margins of a couple pixels so that the image won't touch the words. Pls see below:
<img src="http://www.lala/lala.gif" width="173" height="58" align="right">
Now I still have problem with left-align the image -- my texts flow off and cause the frame to expand out of its margin.
<img src="http://www.lala/lala.gif" width="173" height="58" align="left">
Pls HELP. THX.

Greetings,
Yes you need to place the style attribute into the img tag (as in my example above), and also try it without the align attribute as well.
May I see your HTML script?

Hello Woodman,
I tried your codes again and as you suggested I removed the "align attribute" and IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY!
My fault - I goofed - I did mean to use your [style="float:left] and I used it but I forgot to remove the "align attribute."
I've never taken any class in DW - just 3 hrs seminar on basic feature - and now I have to format the HTM enewsletter for the company because the primary person left!!
My many thanks to your quick help.
Best regards,
Nee

Hello Woodman,
Thanks for writing.
Now my format is quite good when viewing in netscape "email" 7.0 (and most people will view my page with 7.0).
However my email is still 4.8 and when I send the page to my email, all the padding for the left-aligned image is lost. I attach the codes below -- please do you have a code so that the padding (margin-right:10px; margin-bottom: 10px) for the left-aligned image is ok for both 7.0 and 4.8? I can live without but I try to be a perfectionist
<img src="http://www.lala.com/la-la.gif" width="173" height="58" style="float:left; margin-right:10px; margin-bottom: 10px"
Thanks again,
Nee

Greetings,
Ok try scripting this into your email. I don't think it'll work (probably because 4.8 is rather old, and isn't very good with CSS), but it's worth a shot anyway:
<html>
<head>
<title>Email</title>
<style type="text/css">
.left_lala {float:left; margin-right:10px; margin-bottom:10px}
.right_lala {float:right; margin-left:10px; margin-bottom:10px}
</style>
</head>
<body........
It basically puts the CSS tags into one place at the very top of the document. Then, script a class name-tag into both images:
<img src="http://www.lala.com/la-la.gif" width="173" height="58" class="left_lala">
.
.
.
<img src="http://www.lala.com/la-la2.gif" width="143" height="78" class="right_lala">
Well hope that works for 4.8, good luck .

Hello Woodman,
Thanks "again" for writing back and for being so patient!
Before I got your latest tip above, I went back to my htm page, I keep all the 7.0 codes you sent me the same, but I click "right" for the ALIGN option from inside the pop-up "properties" window -- I just tried this around but it works! Now what I see from my 4.8 email is exactly what my coworkers see from their 7.0 netscape.
In any case, my sincere thanks for all the tips and the helps and for being very prompt in doing so. I'm sure others and myself very much appreciate it.
Enjoy your day!
