| I have been able to add a drop down menu using Dreamweaver, but...the menu is transparent and the adjoining text shows through the menu boxes. Can this be fixed?

i have viewed your web page in ns 7.0 and ff 1.0 and ie 6.0.
i dont see the problem that you describe.
its difficult to give you help without being about to reproduce the problem.

[edit: image not attached correctly]
This isn't the best possible example but it does show the transparency in the cells.

Create a background image according to the color you want. Go to your Dreamweaver menu and add this as a background for your menus.
