Bryce was originally designed as a 3D landscape generator, but was later adopted as an all-purpose 3D modeler and renderer by some users mainly due to its intutive interface and attractive price tag. Bryce can render in-door scenes, but its main strength lies in creating lush scenery in a matter of minutes. Starting with version 5, Bryce supports metaballs in addition to boolean and height-map modeling, soft shadows, a network renderer with unlimited licenses, and a tree lab to design trees and foliage.
