Review:
Xenu's Link Sleuth, a handy free utility checks web sites for broken links. It can check links, images, frames, plug-ins, backgrounds, local image maps, style sheets, scripts and java applets. Xenu supports SSL web sites, redirected URLs, and rechecking of broken links. Link checking process is extremely fast thanks to preemptive multithreading, that is Xenu can check multiple links simultaneously (the default value is set to 30). The author claims that he implemented a new technique for checking FTP and Gopher web sites which is 100% reliable. Unfortunately it does not work behind a firewall, but you can use a proxy server in that case.

Free, Fast, Easy... sometimes simplicity makes even harsh and boring jobs almost fun.

Xenu Link Sleuth is a true must have in one's toolbox.

This software is a great addition in any tool box. My site has grown, way out of control, and Xenu help's me greatly (Especially when I do house cleaning, and rearranging). It also tells, on which page the broken link is on. (Which makes is so much easier to fix :)
