Review:
LeechFTP is a powerful free FTP client for Windows. It supports multiple file downloads/uploads, recursive directory transfers, a file queue, bandwidth limiting, and file resuming. LeechFTP has a directory comparison feature that can show the differences between local and remote directories. Although it works fairly well, the program may occasionally miss files having different contents when they are identical in file size. LeechFTP is no more updated and a new commercial version is in the works (BitBeamer). However its directory comparison feature and easy-to-use interface make it stand apart among other freeware FTP clients, and it is a worthy addition to every web developer's arsenal.
I've been using this sweet little FTP program for over three years and do not care to switch anyway, anyhow!
It is another one of those programs, of which I seem to have quite a few, that is small, sleek, and complete. Because it doesn't get(need to be) upgraded, it seems to fall from view.
What actually happens is that it becomes "part of the family" in many a users "toolbox of golden reliables".
It is nice to have the opportunity to put in a good word for my FTP friend who I hope never to take for granted.
