Robert Voit, formerly a commercial airline pilot, founded Jasc Software in 1991. His education and interests, however, were in computer science, so Voit began developing graphics utilities and posting them on computer bulletin boards for others to test-drive. He received valuable feedback and incorporated the suggestions into new versions and products. That was the beginning of Jasc Software and its flagship product, Paint Shop Pro. The company's formula for success hasn't changed much since Voit started, even though its products are enjoyed by millions of people all over the world. The company still relies heavily on customer feedback to enhance and develop its products.
