About:
In 1995, Sausage founder Steve Outtrim wanted to put some information about a restaurant on the newly emerging World Wide Web. Unable to find a program that allowed him to build a web site, he wrote his own web authoring tool, the original HotDog, and went on to invent a whole new way of getting a product to market - selling over the Web.
The success of HotDog (boasting over one million registered users) and Sausage's online store led the company to expand into one of the fastest growing markets. Using the products developed for its own on-line activities and the expertise of its specialist Tools, Interactive, eCommerce and ERP divisions, Sausage was able to help other organisations realise their Internet potential.
Throughout 1999 and 2000 Sausage embarked on an aggressive campaign to become Australia's premier end to end eBusiness organisation through the acquisition of energetic start ups such as Creative Access, Electric Alchemy, GMD, Knowledge Works, Method+Madness, Savant Data, and Tribal (now Sausage TV). The more traditional businesses of SMS Consulting and Prometheus were acquired in 2000.
