I don't understand why the author incorporated the Flash in the Index page. It doesn't really do anything except make the page load too slow. The way I understand it, Flash files are great when they are functional-- it takes aways the "pain of anticipation" that comes from waiting for them to download; but then it's just for showing animation, no matter how impressive the graphics are, I don't see it doing anything good for a website.

They lay-out is great, so are the visuals.
