The colors, shapes, fonts are nice. The only negative I would give it is that the header (is there really a header here?) is too unconventional.
One has to scroll or click for content after the page has loaded. Of course this adds to extra time, however so little, the user needs to spend searching instead of being compelled to enter the site.
The intention of the concept is nice but other factors play a more important role and should have been designed that way.
i liked the site, it looks cool to me. some flash element shall add life to it, i think you should try adding some flash elements to it.
Even i belive that images have taken plenty of space it shouldn't be more then say 200pixel, but anyway the design is great. i like your work great work man.
First of all, the logo is way too similar to Sapient.com's logo, a widely recognized "bio-cell" styled logo. That's about my only gripe. They only chopped off the last segment.
The site is very clean and simple. The colors are ok. It's not as tight as it could be but it's a well designed corporate looking piece.
The graphics on the site have been integrated well with the overall design. The color choices are what are becoming known as "typical" technical business, while the navigation (though I hate roll-over based navs) is extremely functional and very easy to navigate through/with.
The Con's:
The squared or rigid nature of the site tends to show technical, yet unbending nature that may or may not represent the company fully.
Secondary pages seem a bit busy.
Secondary Comments:
(The reason for this review.) I just noticed that the designers of 4 Arrow Consulting seemed to like this site as well.
I liked the colors and images you have used in this design.Placement of navigator is very good. Everything else is fine but I think the images are occupying lot of space and the content has gone down. It could be a problem when a user is viewing in a resolution of 800X600 or less.
Very professional and clean. This site works! Is there a standard that design studios must follow?....not at all.
You can tell there was time spent dealing with the information architecture. The site is loaded with great content and is positioned well throughout the site.
Many design firms tend to forget about their consumer but rather spend too much time incorporating their design skills into their firms web site where it might not be needed.
The site does a good job with stock photos and color.
On the critical side, (not too critical, who am I to criticize anyway?) but I think as you go through the site, your eye doesn't know where to focus. The content gets a little scattered similar to a web portal or news paper site. Also, the home page would really WOW visitors with the addition of a smooth image transitions with the use of FLASH. Also, the other thing that I focus on as a designer are company logos. I think their logo is excellent, but it seems a bit jpeg'ed if you know what I mean? It looks as though they use a slight shadow or glow which give the effect of pencil lead being smudged on paper.
I would make the logo a bit sharper and add some smooth image transitions with flash (just on the homepage).
But who am I to criticize?.... We all learn from each other right!
Good use of some pretty standard colors, stock photos, and a plug-in menu script with a clean business-look layout.
Personally, I think it doesn't fit a design studio, and doesn't say much for their creativity. Looks more like what I'd expect from a software development company than a web design company.
Kind of a copy of http://www.sapient.com, though
They have lots of content, and have a decent layout, but I wouldn't ever say "wow" about this site.
