Our comments: The wonderful wide-screen isometric land of Sixsidia, as the name implies, is made up of hexagon blocks, and it is inhabited by cute little creatures called Ponkas. The old-school look is evident in the sharp gradients and the 70's style logo. Although different sections of the site are located on physically continuous sections of the land, unfortunately you can't freely walk around. Instead you must either click on several objects on the land or use the menu at the bottom. 100% Flash.
nice site, but I found the portfolio section too cluttered and the use of fonts was quite bad. Despite the use of pixelfonts, the characters look blurry and quite awful. Don't forget to align the textframes topleft at x=0 and y=0. Not to mention the fact that you often can only use them as multiples of 8 (so 8, 16, 24 etc). Align them left, and don't use any letterspacing. That should probably sort all problems out. At miniml.com you can download a guide to using pixelfonts in Flash (also at other pixelfont foundaries by the way).
I like this site very much. Though it is 100% Flash and therefore does not provide an alternative to Flash, I do not mind it. Why? Simply because it could not be such a beautifuly presented website in DHTML or just plain HTML.
One thing I don't like, is when you select 'Night' and after a while, or your mouse moves from the actual interface, the lighting effects return to normal.
