Designer's words: Everything started out on a piece of paper as a hand sketch and was brought into Illustrator. From there, I created a basic outline of the interface and copied it over to Photoshop. While in Photoshop, I applied a series of filters and applied different layer blending techniques to achieve the metallic look. All of the images displayed at the top of each section was created in Cinema 4D and touched up in Photoshop as well. It took me about a week to finish this site and I spent about 4 hours on it each day. This is actually my 2nd 100% Flash layout and I enjoyed creating it.
Our comments: The shiny metallic interface consists of two-panes. The one at the top is used to display section images or portfolio entries, and the one at the bottom is used for section contents or the portfolio browser. The menu is located between the panes, an interesting choice. Overall, the design is intuitive and the layout is well balanced. We have two gripes though: the all-caps pixel font is hard to read, and the sound effect heard every time the top pane opens/closes may quickly get annoying. 100% Flash.
