Habbo is a very successful online community and judging from the ratings here, its members are fiercely loyal. However, its design is very outdated and it simply doesn't justify a top 10 position.
habbo is a great site.. i really got addicted to it.. but the thing is, it's unfair for us who do not live in the uk.. therefore, we are missing out on all the good stuff you can do with credits.. maybe u guys would be clever enough to make a habbo new zealand?XD
Habbo hotel is the best website ever! Im so addicted. It doesn't always cost money you know! You could participate in contests and in the newspaper to win rares and trade them for lots of norms or other stuff. As for the "habbo babies", they may be annoying but if you take them for what they are theyre kinda fun. Like playing house when you were 10. So play habbo now, later or never but it still kicks ass!
You know, all of these people complain about how habbo costs money. But when you go to the store and buy a new pc or console game, you pay money to buy digital stuff. So why not just support your game? I guess some ppl are just to cheap and want everyhing handed to them... i bought 50 creds not to long ago and im satisfied... i got my hc.... you ppl who just like coke cause its free, look at this- on coke there are only a few rares- Tat (if you can condider that a rare :P rather like hc plasto set lol) Rice, Gongs, Pins, Golds (real!!! in case!!!) and Plats (real!!! in case!!!)
I am personally enthralled with Habbo, as corny as that sounds. A few things could be improved on, but the overall site is amazing. As far as the whole "you have to pay for creds, sob sob sob" thing, get over it people. I live in California and still manage to get rares and furni just from playing the game, I have never bought credits. It just takes time and effort, and hey, if you can buy creds, that's great; the site has to have a way to get funding and I personally don't think paying for creds is a bad thing.
I've been a member of Habbo Hotel for more than 2 years now and really love it. It was nicer still a while back when not that many people chatted in there. Nowadays it's sometimes hard to get inside the rooms you want to enter. Though I also have my own apartment there where I can relax after a stressy day at least. Haha. I also like the gaming rooms, especially battleships. It's so much fun. I mostly don't go there to chat, but just to explore. Also the programming job they've done at that website is just amazing! The intuitive way the people find their way through the room. I like also the graphics. I really envy these people for this project. I can't think of any other better comparable project. Habbo Hotel is THE site online.
I love the site personnally. I've met alot of friends there and the staff is kind, ect. Alot of people think it is a rip off, buying credits. Well how are they supposed to get money to help the site up? cokemusic.com is better in only 1 way, it has music. coke studios also only opens at cetian time which is stupid. Overall, habbohtel is good, ok? lol
The game is ok, except for buying credits. The gameplay is fun, meeting new people, and the free games in the hotel. It's also much better when you play a game in someones room and win furni. Also, you must pay for credits, because, Habbo is a business, and like all business its goal is to make money.
Coke Music, on the other hand, doesn't charge anything for decibles (currency) because... well its sponserd by the Coca-Cola company, so they dont need to get money from a game.
I find habbo is a really crappy online chat game. at first i thought it was the coolest thing since chocolate milk but then it came to the credts. Who in the right mind would pay real money for fake vurtual furniture!
Wtf if you want a good virtual chat go on coke music thank you.
The renovation of Habbo Hotel introduces a brighter colour scheme of blue, gold, orange and white, amongst many other colours.
The design uses tabs for navigation, which is a pretty good idea. People like tabs.
Habbo, however, still stays dedicated to the isometric graphics, producing pixels everywhere you look.
The main feature of Habbo Hotel, I'd say would be the 3D isometric avatar chat room, with beautiful lighting effects and animations, duh. It is (reasonably) produced with Shockwave, but since the old-design, the server has gotten heavier, and thus makes downloading time (even on a broadband connection) a long, boring wait. Disconnections are more frequent than ever, causing a lot of discouragement amongst crowds of people.
Habbo don't care. They've got money. But on the design front, great, excellent, fantastic!
