Our comments: Megabytes of animated 3D models, superb textures, and quality MP3 sound clips await you in this graphics extravaganza given that you are on a fast connection or have a lot of patience. Since content-wise everything is displayed within the boundaries of the central panel which is surrounded by a variety of menus and buttons, the screen can get crowded very quickly. But once you get used to it, viewing images or short movie clips from the games works surprisingly well, and feels very natural if you have no problem with reading tiny pixel fonts or scrolling text displayed in very small areas. Yes, the interface has its quirks and the robotic female voice that tells you what button is what is cheesy, but Fantasy Interfaces really did a fantastic job in creating a point-and-click interface that doesn't really need a back button or make you close a new browser window every time you view the large version of a thumbnail. In fact, the design has its own stylishly rendered browser button replacements in case you need them. You are warned: this is definitely a bandwidth sucker, and it reportedly consumed over a terabyte of bandwidth shortly after its launch. 100% Flash of course.
overall a very good site
the layout and graphics is excellent
at first glance, i didnt even believe it was a 100% flash site.
but the problem was the huge file sizes, and the content is too cluttered. a bit too many navigation buttons all over the page creates confusion. the font is a bit small and it creates a image that the site is too "massive" for one to actually spend time and read what is actually written
the abysmally confusing interface and the unforgivable slow loading time would almost hide the fact that this is afterall a COMMERCIAL site, and therefore should be easily accessable. Form always follows function, and those who refuse to understand are simply poor designers.
Good to see though that all those Blackbox' Eyecandy filters are still used by some :)
Everything is great about the site, but there are too much information placed before you. Some people might like it, but because it is made in flash, i might ended up leaving the site after clicking a few links (due to all the loading between each click).
Fantasy Interface has done it again with this amazing website. Their work is very impressive and inspiring. I can't wait to see more work like this one.
