Our comments: An intriguing microcosm populated with various insects acts as a background for this highly stylish web site design. ActionScript effects are abundant but definitely not overused: In the arts section, a gizmo lets you not only see parts of an image just like the navigator tool of Photoshop, but also zoom. Silky smooth window blind transitions and two different main menu variations, one horizontal and one vertical, complete the experience. There are a few gripes though: First of all, every section opens in a new window, and you have to click the main window to reactivate the main menu every time you exit a section. This disrupts navigation, which is already a little vague. Also, you have to turn the ambient sounds off every time you return to the main menu. Despite the impressive collection of ActionScripts utilized here, the site keeps forgetting user preferences.
