Designer's words: Designed and built by Finnish student Timo Koro whilst studying on the BA (Hons) Interactive Multimedia course at the Hull school of Art & Design in UK. The work was undertaken for the Fuzi new media collective.
Our comments: Wonderful stop-motion crumpled paper animation coupled with a well executed typewriter effect set a unique identity for this Hull City, UK based organization "dedicated to the education and exhibition of short film". The style is consistent throughout the site, and everything is well thought out down to the tiny but important details such as the ability to go back and forth between pages without having to wait for a page to be "typed". 100% Flash.
remember the silent-movie-era, when the newly-invented "talkies" made some people fear brain-damage from too much sensory input? it just occurred to me while reading some comments on "how good that this and that site has no sound-fx". this hullfilm-site wouldnīt come across half as neat without the papercrumbling-sound. then again, maybe itīs just because the site is so clean and simple - and everything, including the fx, just makes plain sense. whatever, i enjoyed it.
