Very cool site. The music really complements it all, and the navigation is good yet simple. Unequivocally one of the best sites listed here.
I think what is so impressive about this site is that is is something totally different from most sites on the web - instead of being sort of dramatic, even gloomy feeling, it is upbeat, colorful, and creative. That is what makes this site so special.
You've done your best here man! It's been months since I saw your website and added you as one good inspiration in my favourite links department...and still your site ROCKS! Just keep it updated specially the 'experiments' open source dept. :) Looking forward to hear your album :P
Good knowledge of action script and flash. The idea of radio and navigation is very impressive. Clean design. But slow loading times and the maximized pop-up windows are bored me.
loved the colors, music and originality, but...
it is NOT EASY to use. you have to look for your options for some time. You could do something better at this level.
All in all not a bad design. Some nice technical trickery gives it a pleasant feel. However, the design itself seems a copy of so many other sites that have been haunting the web for years now. Also some sloppy design errors I spotted. The navigation is quirky and confusing at times. Maybe when one choses an option, you should indicate clearer that other options appeared. Also showing a blank page does not stimulate people to read on. Ah, and check for spelling errors, cause there are quite a few.
This was a great site. I love the clean, clear view. Great navigation and usability. Superhere is what the web should be. Its not one of those sites with weird audio loops and pointless animations. This guy knows what a real site should be.
Lots of people use nav like an OS but Superhere uses very good pics and the navigation takes another dimension. It's easy to understand. It's beautiful. It's great. In 2 words: Good job.
When opinions are so opposite it's a good thing. I don't think it's the best page in the world, but neither a sh**.
Design is nothing new, it's true, but boy is not a designer, and who makes something new today ?? The very merit of this site is the well finished flash work, and i think nobody can say no to this. And a very good taste in the making of every piece.
Yes, it's not the best page ever, but he goes in the right way. Congratulations for the good work, zero.
Superhere is what the web should be. Finally someone figured out that all sites don't have to have weird audio loops and pointless animations. This guy knows what he is doing.
This guy continues to innovate- a very nice portfolio site which acts as an excellent example of an effective use of Flash technology. I give Zero alot of credit for posting such great tutorials and source code. All in all, this is a great site that has inspired me and I'm sure a number of others.
After reading all the comments I don't know what the fuzz is all about. Though the use of windows is smart, the design is nothing special and hardly creative or original. So I don't know why everyone gets so worked up about it. Maybe you haven't seen many websites yet, I guess. But good that you like your own stuff so much.
superhere is the shiznit. probably the best site i've ever seen on the web. the concept and design are phenomenal and the content is nothing short of impressive. dj zero is a genius.
i like zero´s page because you are able to browse through the different sections without leaving them.the windows pop up and when you want to visit another section you can either minimize the window or just hit the link and another window opens right in front of the other.
the streaming audio is also very nice because you´re able to change the tracks and your not bound to hear the same loop over and over again.
Zero did a great job with superhere's user interface, by displaying all his content using dialogs it makes his site easier to explore. The streaming audio is a plus, nice music in there ( and the first time I see something like this on a portfolio/personal site ).
I think the best thing in superhere related to usability its that one can browse different sections without having to leave them, they just pop up on new windows, which is nice.
An outstanding masterpiece of webdesign from my buddy, uhm from this artist I have absolutely no connection with at all. It is sheer briliance the way my frie- this Mr DJ handles the pixels like so many did before, no, no, like no one did before... Cause my pal is a f****ing revolutionary in design, pardon my French... and of course he is not my friend, obviously cause I have never met him before. That the actually fairly average design works at times incredibly annoying is not something my friend wants to hear. Nope, he prefers the critiqueless friends, cause from them he will learn the most. So that is why I just want to emphasize that this is a great piece of cra- art, and I just hope he will revolutionise the webdesign community with more outstanding websites.
this website really impacts me a lot, it's a great idea -- the way it combines the concept of portfolio+weblog+personal website. it's a different vision of using a web site to show your personal stuff. On the other hand you get an excellent look in the whole web site, from the radio to the window manager, including the original design you really can feel that there is nothing that needs to be better. Finally i got to say that i would like to see this guy building other kind of web sites, then i think a revolution in web design will start.
