Our comments:
A good illustration is one of the most powerful tools to convey information, and when used right, it IS worth a thousand words as the web site design of Poland based Pixon shows. The brains behind Pixon also know very well that you shouldn't do something just because you can. For example you cannot open multiple windows nor can you move them around. But this is not a limitation, it is how it really should be: as simple as possible. Color is used sparingly not to overwhelm the user. Even the sound effects are subtle and they are there to guide you not to annoy you. There is one gripe though: trying to catch panning portfolio items is not very fun, however we must admit the transparent sphere placed in front of them is a nice touch.

Note: Pawel Jonca is now a part of Pixon, and responsible for most of the illustrations you see on their web site.
