Henk Nieborg is a Dutch "gfx artist" who has created graphics for several games including Ghostbattle, and Lionheart for the Amiga; Flink, and Lomax for consoles; and lately Disney's Atlantis for the Gameboy Color.

Nieborg's personal web site is more than just a showcase of his wonderful artwork. To truly appreciate his old-school lo-res pixel imagery, you need to zoom in to see the level of detail, and that is where his custom JavaScript/DHTML magnification code comes in. There is also a DHTML parallax scroller in the about section complete with character animation. The pixelation effect on the home page is nothing but an IE filter (in the old days, you would need Java for that), which is perfectly suitable for the theme of the site.
