Designer's words: Reflux Design is my personal website where I showcase the latest projects I've designed and produced while working at different design companies and freelancing. You may also find quiet a bit of my personal information, favorite sites I visit on daily basis and contact info in case you'd like to outsource me for any interesting projects. The site is constantly in development, being it making changes to the code, updating with new projects or changing the look of the site every couple of months.
Our comments: A great example of hardcore DHTML coding in action: draggable and minimizable (Mac-style) windows that can overlap others. Also note the interesting display of "tech skillset". Opening separate "real" windows when clicked on portfolio entries is incompatible with the site's design concept though. Also, the 5x5 pixel font is on the verge of illegibility compounded with the low-contrast color scheme.
Kulakowski has managed to portray a beautiful portfolio that captures true potential without the use of Flash. DHTML effects are wonderfully executed with their own self esteem, it seems. Though not entirely compatible with most browsers, in Internet Explorer, the ability to play around and move the iFrames is a very clever one.
The design reminds me of Pixelsurgeon's (with the iFrames decorated with graphics that give commands to alter the content, or display of the iFrames), but less cluttered. The colour scheme is good, and the download size for graphics and content is generally small. Great typography, too.
All in all an excellent site, definitely worthy of the Wow Web Designs award.
