Our comments: Information Laboratories is a Singapore based "e-business enabler". Their web site design exclusively uses blue for almost every page element. The design is supported with many illustrations most of which are combinations of several simple vector-based outlines. Although seemingly plain at first, the illustrations are well executed, and have excellent composition.
Unlike many other dual-designs, almost all of the visual effects and the interactivity of the Flash version are successfully implemented in HTML thanks to the clever use of DHTML layers. In the Flash design, there are also separate HTML pages that house full-size Flash objects corresponding to different sections of the site. This approach not only makes download times shorter, but also greatly improves usability since the back and forward buttons actually work: what a relief!
There are two things we didn't like though: The sound effects in the Flash version get annoying quickly, and the scroll arrows work differently in HTML and Flash versions (to scroll, you need to mouse-over and click respectively). In fact, we think that a real scrollbar is much easier to use, not to mention it is a standard interface element.
