Our comments: Neatly organized, delicate pixel design. Uses the smallest possible type size yet text is still readable thanks to the high contrast color scheme. Everything looks ultra-crisp as if displayed on an LCD screen (we used a CRT display). Further examinations with Lens revealed that every single interface element (e.g. buttons, window borders, etc.) is composed of 1-pixel wide (or long) highlights and shadows.
Other notable features include tabbed windows, which use inline frames, and creative use of images.
In what seems to be a permanent BETA version, Pixelsurgeon is freshly updated every day with links to interesting articles and sites. Pixelsurgeon's trio manage somehow to score great interviews with some of the top names in almost all industries associated with online participation. The reviews are well written and come in huge herds, despite recent server problems.
Pixelsurgeon's fresh design with an amazing use of iFrames really brings the content to life. I just wish they'd stick to one layout throughout the site.
Loads of content, fantastic display of pixelated graphics and newly updated content every day, Pixelsurgeon is truly a masterpiece in design.
