Our comments:
The design of the Franzoni web site looks like a printed catalog rather than a regular web site at first glance. Clever use of images and transparent image borders coupled with justified text superimposed over the giant company logo can easily catch even some of the most experienced web designers off guard because creating page layouts with HTML that resemble the ones used commonly in printed publications is hard although not impossible. In fact, after right-clicking on the 'suspicious parts' and seeing that they are produced with plain HTML, it is even more surprising to learn that the simple top menu bar is actually made with Flash. Overall, the design is technically quite interesting however the images used throughout the site would look much better with some color correction.
