Designer's words: This site is an exhibition of my graphic, web and industrial design portfolio. I will be constantly adding images to the site as I create them, or scan them from past sketchbooks.
For the design of my site, I wanted to step away from the often dark color schemes of other 'trendy' sites. I also wanted to avoid the use of the 'SmallFonts' typeface in the design, which is incredibly popular right now. I figure, why squint at the 5-pixel tall text on a big computer monitor when I have to squint at the text on a tiny PDA screen in the same way?
Flash 5 was used for the nav-interface on the home page. This was really my first major foray into Flash. I kept the site's design simple because it needed to be updated manually. Maybe someday my university's server will allow me to use scripts.
I am a student at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. I am 20 years old. My hometown is Bellevue, Washington; just outside of Seattle. I have been using computers and graphics software since the days of the 386. I haven't taken any graphics or web design classes or anything like that; I have just practiced and learned for years by myself. I use Ray Dream Studio for my 3D graphics.
Our comments: No-nonsense Flash-HTML hybrid with transparent orange buttons. Orange drop shadows for orange buttons is a nice idea.
I liked this site: It's modestly simple, easy to read and navigate (thanks to the orange-light blue color scheme and minimum but very effective Flash touch) and
it looks great in overall too!
