Graphically astounding Indiana Jones fan site welcomes its visitors with an original composition of a huge Egyptian statue and the legendary lost ark as depicted in the first Indiana Jones movie: Raiders of the Lost Ark. The 17-frame JavaScript/JPG torch animation is magnificent, and the clever use of image slices creates the illusion of text surrounding the arm of the statue -- a traditional typographic effect, which is normally impossible to achieve with HTML.

This design looks much better in the screen shot than it does when visiting the site. The animated torch is very pixelated and many of the graphics are too heavily compressed. Also, the blue hyperlinks do not go well with the rest of the color scheme. And the dividers add a discombobulated feel to the site.
