Designer's words:
Designed years ago for id software (creators of the Doom and Quake series), this design has remained entertaining for a long period of time. Plenty of Easter eggs and hidden animations were found throughout the content if one had a keen eye.

Our comments:
Original, fascinating portal design surrounded with soldiers from Quake welcomes visitors to the id Software web site. The rotating menu items attached to the portal looks great considering the fact that even today rollovers having more than one-frame of animation are rarely used. What makes this site even more interesting is the original individual page designs. Definitely a masterpiece.
