Designer's words: After an eight-year hiatus, a legend in the videogame community returns. Cinemaware, the storied publisher of such classic Amiga games as SDI and It Came from the Desert, comes back to the public eye with a striking new website designed by Über Interactive.
Because Cinemaware defined "interactive movies" -- well before anyone called them that -- Uber gave the site a muted art deco look in line with the company's relationship to films. Included in the site's content are interactive bulletin boards, box art for Cinemaware's best-loved games, e-postcards, a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions, and frequently updated company news.
The site's first phase celebrates the company's rich history, and offers gamers an opportunity to glimpse what's in store for its future. Uber Interactive is excited to be involved in resurrecting the public image of a remarkable figure in the world of videogames.
Our comments: Impressive 30's style design captured the very essence of Cinemaware, now defunct game developer and publisher, which was one of the most influential companies in the industry in the late 80's and early 90's.
