Our comments: Aside being one of the most comprehensive Indiana Jones fan sites, TheRaider.net is a visual feast that recreates the atmosphere of the 1930s as depicted in the Indiana Jones movies. Characters and key scenes appear in the authentic wooden windows placed below the rock texture. The contents of the windows are determined randomly, but they are also sensitive to a particular section's contents. (e.g. only characters from the first movie is displayed when viewing the Raiders of the Lost Ark section). A dramatic Indiana Jones illustration created by talented illustrator and co-web designer Paul Shipper is displayed under the site logo, and is style-wise very similar to Drew Struzan's original Indiana Jones movie posters. Attention to detail in graphics is impressive: section headlines are carved into marble, icon-size items from the movies such as the ark and Indy's fedora hat appear next to headlines, even the movie posters are retouched. Navigation can be hard for new visitors though as menu items are hard to read because of the small type size; section menus displayed on the right column can also be easily overlooked for the same reason.

| by Aaron (unregistered) - Jun 12th, 2002 | First off, congrats to all at TheRaider.net! You certainly deserved it! As you all may know, TheRaider.net is considered by most fans, to be THE official Indiana Jones website. The design is the most original I've ever seen in any website. They're using Paul Shipper's drawing of Indy with his Smith & Wesson blending down to the menu is wonderful. First time I saw it was, to say the least, amazed! I'm sure that as long as Indiana Jones lives, so will TheRaider.net!
