Hey there! More about me huh? Born and bred in London. Majored in Japanese and Korean Language (never major in languages only unless you have other strong skills under your belt - you will have a tough time looking for a job). After university, joined Japan Airlines as a computer engineer. I managed to get this job mainly due to my part time job with Japan Airlines as a ground staff and due to my technical ability surrounding PC installation, configuration and working with multi-byte environments (in my spare time at home).
Was with JAL for about a year and then found myself in Japan working for a scientific journal called Nature. I had always wanted to live and work in Japan and the move to nature was one of my best moves. At Nature, I served as a Web Marketing Executive, using web and conventional means to market Nature and its sister journals in the Asian Pacific region.
T' was time to move on and I found myself working for an online recruitment company
called "Job Dragon" (jobdragon.com) as their Contents Producer - but only for
a brief period. The guys at Job Dragon were great - they even had it in their
hearts to introduce me to Amazon. I now work for Amazon and manage the japanese
site at amazon.co.jp
I have been at Amazon for over a year and a half now and what an amazing company
it is too. The people, the technology, the way of thinking - I find it difficult
to believe that there could be the possibility of such a cool company to work
for.
I am always on the lookout for talent. If you are equipped with Unix, Perl and
